There’s yet another Valentine’s challenge, this time from Laura Harms’ I am the Diva Challenge #204. There aren’t any fixed guidelines for this one other than that it has to be a Valentangle, so I went with a heart-shaped string, two tangles with an organic Valentine’s mood, and two tangles that are decidedly non-Valentine-like.
I enjoyed varying the sizes of the black spaces in Cubine. This does a feel too starkly black-and-white to me though.
I love your tile! It is very striking, yet very soft around the heart. I also love the tiny little heart in the middle!
Oh dear, I don’t know why your comment went to my spam folder! I’ve only just seen it. Thank you for your comment Sue!
Great tile! I just love that teeny tiny heart in cubine….!
Thank you!
Like Anoeska, I love this small heart in it. It’s a great tile anyway.
Thanks Annemarie!
Lovely tile with great contrast!
Thanks Ilse!
Love the contrast between the line work and more organic tangles and then that cute heart, very cool!
Thank you!
It may be “starkly” black and white, but for some unknown reason I just like staring at it. It catches my “mind’s eye” so to speak. It’s calming to me. And I like how you got a heart in there without screaming “hearts!”
Nice to know it’s calming for you! I wonder if you mean the big heart or the little one. In any case yes, there’ve been so many valentine challenges lately and I didn’t feel like doing more hearts!
I really love this tile!
Thanks!
Love the strong contrast in your tile, and the tiny floating heart!
Thanks kate!
Nicely done! Love your cubine and the tiny heart in it, and your string is subtle and lovely!
Thank you sue! Glad you saw the string ;)
I loved your tile….it took me a little bit to find your string and it was relaxing to me to do that. The tangles are nicely executed and shaded and the tiny heart adds a touch of whimsy to it. Very nice indeed!
Thanks Leslie for all the compliments!
Love your composition – I’m New to the challenges
And tried to find and use every heart tangle I could find!
Thank you! Welcome to the challenges, I hope you enjoy them!
